Terms of service

Effective 11 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Leon, the website and the Chrome extension. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: support@languageleon.com.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 to use Leon. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how to export or delete it.

Plans and billing

  • Leon has a free plan and paid Plus and Pro plans. Current prices and limits are on Pricing.
  • Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it for a short time. If it still fails, your plan ends and your account returns to the free plan. Your vocabulary and history stay in your account.
  • Change plans in Billing settings. Stripe shows any price difference before you confirm.
  • If we change a plan's price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Cancellation and refunds

  • Cancel anytime in Billing settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • Payments are non-refundable, including for unused time in the current period, except where the law requires a refund.
  • Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately. Unused time is not refunded.

Promotion codes

Promotion codes apply only as described when you enter them, may have limits or expiry dates, and have no cash value. When a free or discounted period ends, the subscription renews at the regular price unless you cancel. If no payment method is on file, it ends and your account returns to the free plan.

Using Leon

Do not misuse Leon: no attempts to break, overload or get around its limits or security, no automated scraping of the service, and no reselling access. We may suspend accounts that do. Translations are generated automatically and can be wrong, so do not rely on them where accuracy matters.

The service

We work to keep Leon available and your data safe, but the service is provided as is, without guarantees that it will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

If we change these terms we will update this page and its effective date, and tell you about significant changes before they apply. For help, see Support.
